Shipping policy 

All orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification with your tracking information once your order is processed.

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates

For Shipping: We offer free shipping for purchases over $175 shipping within Ontario, excluding to Remote Postal Codes listed below, excluding Jellycat products and excluding oversized and overweight items. We offer $19.95 flat rate shipping within Ontario, excluding to Remote Postal Codes listed below and excluding oversized and overweight items. If additional shipping charges apply to your order, you will be contacted directly and sent an invoice for approval before your items ship. Shipping charges for out of Province will be sent to you in a separate invoice after we have received your order. We will contact you for approval before sending out the shipment if it exceeds the $19.95 fee collected. We ship with Canada Post, UPS, Canpar, DHL, FedEx, GLS, Purolator, and ICS Courier. We will always ship with the best rate/delivery time possible. However, we do not guarantee delivery dates. For free shipping orders we reserve the right to ship best way. 

Ontario Remote Postal Codes ineligible for Flat Rate Shipping or Free Shipping:

For Trexity Deliveries: Delivery is free with a $150 purchase, excluding Jellycat products, and within a 30km radius of our store. For orders outside the 30km radius, we reserve the right to ship your order best way. There is a delivery charge for purchases under $150 that is calculated at check-out based on your delivery address (Postal Code).

Trexity delivers same day, or next day before 8pm depending on the time of day when you place your order and how busy we are in the store when the order comes in. They will email you live delivery tracking once your order has been picked up so you can follow along. (Please check your junk mail!) They will let you know when your delivery has been completed, and send photos with proof-of-delivery. Parcels will be left on your porch or at the door if someone is not home to accept delivery. If the driver deems it unsafe to drop the parcel, and you are not home to accept delivery, you will be charged a duplicate fee for re-delivery. Please contact us or leave a note on your order with any delivery preferences or if you do not want your parcel dropped when you are not home. If that is your preference, we will do our best to work with you to schedule the delivery when you are there to receive it. Please contact the store if you need your parcel delivered in particular time frame and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We can be reached at 416-651-4028. Please also note, if you purchased a gift for delivery, we require the contact information of the gift recipient to set up the delivery.

Cut off times for same day delivery are as follows: 
11am - Weekdays (excluding holidays)
10am - Saturdays
Orders received after this time will be delivered the following day (excluding holidays) before 8pm. Orders placed on Sundays will ship next day.

Balloons are not eligible for delivery. Surcharges may apply for overweight/oversized items. 

For Local Neighbourhood Deliveries: Delivery is free with a $100 purchase, and within a 2km radius of our store. There is a $10 delivery charge for purchases under $100. You will be notified by email when your items are out for delivery. Deliveries are done within 3 business days of placing your order, exuding weekends and holidays. Please contact us by phone at 416-651-4028 or in-store 657 St. Clair Ave. W. for any special requests. 

Local Neighbourhood Deliveries will NOT be done from Dec 23 - Jan 3. If you are shopping last minute for the holidays, please choose Curbside Pick-up. Balloon deliveries are only available on a case by case basis and must be arranged in advance with the store. Please call us at 416-651-4028 to discuss. 

In-store pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our store, Playful Minds - 657 St. Clair Ave. W. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 business day. However, most orders are ready for pick-up within an hour of placing your order. During busy weekends and holidays, if your order requires gift wrapping, it may take a little longer to get your order ready. We will send you an email when your order is ready to pick-up. We will do our best to accommodate if you need it by a certain time, but please call us to let us know you're in a rush. 

In-store pickup hours are posted on our Contact Us page. You will be asked for your full name when you come.

International Shipping

We do not offer international shipping at this time.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at playfulminds@bell.net with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

We can only provide shipping to P.O. Boxes if Canada Post delivers to your address. If they will not deliver, we will have to cancel your order.
